How do stretch jersey fabric use high-performance fibers to capture and retain body heat?

2025-05-16

The high efficiency of stretch jersey fabric in capturing and retaining body heat is mainly due to the unique microstructure and material properties of the high-performance fibers they use. High-performance fibers are designed with a hollow structure, which creates multiple tiny air pockets inside the fiber. These air pockets are not randomly distributed, but their size and distribution are precisely controlled through a sophisticated fiber manufacturing process to ensure the best warmth retention effect.

These small air pockets form a unique insulating layer inside the fiber. Since air is a poor conductor of heat, these air pockets effectively block the penetration of cold air and reduce heat loss caused by air convection. At the same time, the hollow structure also reduces the overall density of the fiber, allowing the fabric to achieve a lightweight design while maintaining excellent warmth retention, improving wearing comfort.

High-performance fibers have the characteristic of low thermal conductivity. When the human body radiates heat, these fibers can slow down the rate of heat transfer from the human body to the external environment. The low thermal conductivity makes the fiber an effective thermal resistance material that can retain the heat radiated by the human body for a long time. Combined with the air layer formed by the small air pockets inside the fiber, the fiber material with low thermal conductivity further enhances the warmth retention of the fabric. The air layer itself has a good thermal insulation effect, and the fiber with low thermal conductivity further slows down the transfer of heat through the fiber material, thereby achieving long-term heat preservation.

The hollow structure combined with the fiber material with low thermal conductivity forms a dual warmth retention mechanism. The air layer with small air pockets reduces heat loss by physical barrier, while the fiber material with low thermal conductivity prolongs the heat retention time by inhibiting heat conduction. This synergistic mechanism enables the stretch knitted fabric to maintain a stable body temperature in both static and dynamic environments. Whether resting or exercising, the fabric can effectively capture and preserve body heat, providing the wearer with a lasting warmth effect.

The antibacterial properties of organic bamboo textile fabric stem from the natural substances contained within bamboo fibers, primarily bamboo alcohol. Bamboo alcohol possesses effective antibacterial, bacteriostatic, and deodorizing effects, effectively inhibiting the growth and reproduction of bacteria, fungi, and mold, reducing the generation of odors and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the fabric.
